College can feel a bit daunting for incoming freshmen and we are here to help. The Center for Latin@ Studies has created a "Promesa pipeline" to support students from middle school through college graduation and beyond. Click on your student's classification to learn more about the programs we can offer to your student.
What We Offer
Middle School Student
Through our Promesa ¡Avancemos! program, in collaboration with local schools, we prepare kids for long-term academic succcess with a focus on science and robotics classes. Click here for more information.
High School Students
Promesa Summer Success
The Promesa Summer Success Program is in conjunction with the Office of College Readiness and is designed for rising highschool seniors to enhance their academic knowledge, boost their credentials for college admissions, and earn free college credit. Click here for more information.
The Promesa Scholars Program consists of students who graduated from the Promesa Summer Success Program and have decided to continue their education at Ferris State. Promesa Scholars encourages undergraduates' success by offering them academic support, peer connections, assistance with the financial aid process, cultural and social activities, and a "home away from home". The Promise Partners program allows students attending Ferris to mentor other students.
