Cultural Connection Program

Cultural Connection is a friendship program built especially for international and domestic students who are interested in cultural exchange.

Experienced domestic students serve as mentors to new international students. Mentors are paired with new international students during International Student Orientation prior to the start of the semester.

Interested students should complete a Mentor Application or contact the International Student Advising Office for more details. 

 

Community Connection Cultural Exchange Program

Living in a new country and culture is a challenge that is not easily overcome without support.  Ferris Community Connection, an international-local community cultural exchange program, is an opportunity for members of the Big Rapids community to be matched with international students and offer this support. 

This program is unique because it offers personal support and friendship while the international student lives independently. Community participants may share family outings, home-cooked meals, or simply conversations.

All volunteers are welcome--participants may be single persons, couples or families.
