The HVACR Summer Academy is intended for students which have either just graduated from high school or are about to enter their senior year and have an interest in a possible career in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning.

Ferris State University’s HVACR program is the nation’s leader in both associate and bachelor's HVACR degrees where graduate have high job placement rates with jobs in all 50 states.

Campers will be exploring elements of piping, electrical circuits and motors, gas heating equipment, basic refrigeration, airflow measurement, heat pumps, and electronic controls. Campers will be given the opportunity to participate in a mini SKILLS Test to demonstrate their knowledge of these topics at the end of the week and potentially earn a $1,500 Scholarship to the Ferris HVACR program for their freshmen year.

The HVACR department at Ferris State University is offering the opportunity to apply for a $250.00 registration scholarship. Students must fill out the application posted below to qualify. Staff will review the application and notify you within one week of submission if you have received the scholarship. Once you have been notified that you are a scholarship recipient you may register at the discounted price! Scholarships are limited; the application form is available here.

$559 residence hall, $489 commuter.

Includes materials and supplies, instruction, residence hall room (unless commuter), meals and campus activities. Check-in is on Sunday between 5:00 pm and 6:00 pm. Orientation will begin at 6:00 pm followed by evening activities. Discount of $25 per camp for multiple camps or multiple siblings will apply.

Medical History/Waiver Forms will be mailed upon receipt of registration. Please complete and return no later than two (2) weeks prior to the opening of the camp.

All requests for refunds or cancellations received in writing two (2) weeks prior to camp start date will be honored, minus a $50 administrative fee. Cancellations received less than two (2) weeks prior to camp start date will not be refunded.

Ferris State University reserves the right to cancel programs due to insufficient enrollment with full refund.
