Medical History/Waiver Forms will be mailed upon receipt of registration. Please complete and return no later than two (2) weeks prior to the opening of the camp.

A confirmation letter/information on check-in times, what to bring to residence hall, rules of conduct, and other details will be sent upon receipt of registration and payment.

REFUNDS & CANCELLATIONS

All requests for refunds or cancellations received in writing two (2) weeks prior to camp start date will be honored, minus a $50 administrative fee. Cancellations received less than two (2) weeks prior to camp start date will not be refunded.

Ferris State University reserves the right to cancel programs due to insufficient enrollment with full refund.

Digital Animation & Game Design

ANIMATION & GAME DESIGN I
2 SESSIONS:
June 17-21 10 am to 4 pm $275
July 8-12 10 am to 4 pm $275

Here you will have the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of 3D modeling, texturing, lighting, and animation. Plan, model, script, and create game levels using a 3D real-time game engine. We will help you develop a 3D game level or 3D animation that will be presented on the afternoon of the final day of camp.

ANIMATION & GAME DESIGN II
July 15-19 10 am to 4 pm $275

Animation & Game Design IIis open to students who have completed Animation & Game Design I. This session builds on skills from the previous camps. Expand on lessons learned in the introductory classes and have the opportunity to create more extensive game levels and/or animation.

ANIMATION & GAME DESIGN III Ferris Summer Camps
July 29-August 2 10 am to 4 pm $275

Animation & Game Design III is open to students who have completed Animation & Game Design I and II. In this camp, you will discover how to create gameplay elements in the Unreal Development Kit (UDK) by using visual scripting. Scripting creates gameplay elements, modifi es control schemes and creates puzzles within the game world. You will learn how to execute side scrolling and top down gameplay and modify and script elements to create your own games! No previous programming experience is needed but basic computer skills and a familiarity with the Unreal Engine is required.

On the last day of the digital animation camps, there is a special screening of student work created during the week, open to friends and family.

While these camps are basic courses, students are expected to have solid familiarity with a Windows PC computer environment.
