Special meetings of the Board require public notice 18 hours in advance of the meeting - a copy of which is due in AOIS in the same timeframe.
A special posting/meeting notice must contain the same information as a regular posting/meeting notice.
In addition, the special posting must include: "For the purpose of ______."
Board retreats are considered "special meetings".
Please call the Compliance Auditor/Board Liaison at 231-591-5804 when a special meeting is scheduled so deadline dates can be added to AOIS.
