Admissions criteria - In order to be admitted to the Honors Program as a Transfer student (students currently attending Ferris who are not in the program already are admitted as "Internal Transfers"), a student must have:

  • College cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher (in 12-45 credits of non-remedial coursework)

Course work done for an Honors program at another institution may count as Honors course work at Ferris. Please schedule a meeting with the Honors advisor to discuss your record.

Application Deadlines: The application deadline for Transfer Students and Currently Attending Ferris Students

  • For Spring entry is December 1.
  • For Fall entry is July 15. 

If you are not a current Ferris student and you have not completed an Undergraduate Student application to Ferris State University, you will need to do that in order for your Honors application to remain valid. The application can be found at www.ferris.edu/admissions.
