The Honors Student Handbook ensures each student has accurate information and an equal chance to succeed in the program. It is important for the objectives of our program to be transparent. Each student has the opportunity to contribute, expand, develop, and participate at Ferris in alignment with their own personal and academic goals. The Handbook serves to empower students. We offer suggestions and share information to the best of our ability. In the end, students are best served by reviewing the handbook, creating their own path through Honors, and coming to us for support and clarification. The are no rigid checklists about how to fulfill each requirement. Instead we ask students to consider the objectives of each commitment and shape the program to their goals. Students in Honors exercise their own initiative and succeed or fail on their own responsibility.
The handbook holds the official policies of the Honors program, and supersedes any documents published prior.
