Graduated Ferris May 1998, Applied Biology
Barry University, Doctor of Podiatric Medicine
Current Residence: Orlando, Florida
In 1997-98 I was an R.A. in the Honors Program at Ferris, and I was glad to be involved with the program for that seminal year, which was also my senior year. Ever since I can remember I have been dedicated to excellence. Dedication and drive allowed me to excel in my education. That same dedication and drive was at the heart of my tennis game at Ferris State University, where I served as captain of the tennis team in my senior year. I have since channeled dedication and drive into my love for helping people through my academic and medical career. Thus far I have received the following degrees: Medical: Doctor of Podiatric Medicine, Barry University (Miami, Florida); Graduate: Masters of Science, Barry University (Miami, Florida); Undergraduate 1997: Bachelor of Science, Ferris State University (Big Rapids, Michigan); Honors: Pi Delta Medical Honor Society; NCAA II All-American Tennis.
For me higher medical education is the key to excellent medical care. Medicine is changing everyday and I feel it is imperative to stay up to date on medical advancements all around the world in order to provide my patients with the best solution for their individual needs. Consequently I have specialty training in advanced external and internal fixation methods for trauma and deformity reconstruction of the foot, ankle, and lower leg; ankle arthoscopy; adult and pediatric flatfoot reconstruction; non-invasive heel pain techniques.
I have been determined to stay active locally and nationally through the following organizations: as an associate of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons; and as a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, the Florida Podiatric Medical Association, the Central Florida Podiatric Medical Association; and as a volunteer faculty member of Florida Hospital East Orlando.
