B.S. in Business
Music Industry Management
Brandon Hewitt came to Ferris State in August of 2000 on a full-academic scholarship. While on campus he worked, and also was a member of Student Government, the Music Industry Management Association, the Golden Key International Honour Society, and the Honors Program. He was on the Dean's List every semester, including seven 4.0 semesters.
Through the Music Industry Management program, Brandon interned with a Christian musician and a company in Grand Rapids during the summer of 2002 where he learned about bookings, production and touring. In the summer of 2003 he interned in New York City with Arista records, a division of SonyBMG. He graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor's in Music Industry Management in May 2004.
Brandon is currently practicing law in Southfield, Michigan at Gursten, Koltonow, Gursten, Christensen & Raitt, P.C. He continues to stay active in the music and entertainment industry with his own artist management and representation company. Brandon is thankful to Ferris State University and the Honors Program for providing him the opportunities to succeed, and often pondered the words of Abraham Linclon -- "I will prepare and someday my chance will come."
Brandon embraces the opportunity to speak with future, current and former Ferris students, as well as anyone curious about law or the music industry. He can be contacted at firstname.lastname@example.org and www.gurstenlaw.com.
