Timme 2007-2008 Guidelines

Travel funding available:

  • An award of $800 is available for faculty traveling to teaching or student learning conferences or training.
  • An award of $500 is available for faculty traveling to subject matter conferences or training.
  • An award of $950 is available for faculty traveling to teaching or student learning conferences or training to give a presentation on teaching and learning (e.g., teaching methods, assessment of student learning, research results from an inquiry into some aspects of teaching and learning).

Funding will be limited to no more than three faculty traveling to the same training or conference.

A faculty member can receive only one travel grant per academic year (Fall through Summer semester).

Funding will be available to all full time, tenure-track faculty on a first-come, first-serve basis until funding has been depleted for that semester. This notification will be sent out campus-wide and posted on the FCTL website.

Applications will be reviewed each semester on dates indicated below.

  • 2007 FALL SEMESTER TRAVEL - applications will be reviewed beginning April 27, 2007
  • 2008 SPRING SEMESTER TRAVEL - applications will be reviewed beginning September 20, 2007

Within one month of the conference or training, send a copy of the top sheet of the approved expense report to FCTL/Timme Application, IRC 134D. If the expense report copy is not received within one month from the date of travel, we will assume the travel did not take place and cancel your reserved funding.
