It is the policy of the University to maintain workplace and
educational environments free of any form of harassment, intimidation,
or exploitation, either physical or verbal. The University will not
tolerate any verbal or physical conduct by any employee or student which
harasses, disrupts, or interferes with any employee's job performance
or any student's educational opportunities, or which creates a hostile,
offensive, or intimidating working or educational environment.
Harassment includes, but is not limited to:
- Degrading or demeaning conduct or comments relating to a person's
age, race, color, religion, ethnic origin, gender, height, weight,
marital status, military status, sexual preference, or disability.
- Degrading or demeaning conduct or comments of a sexual nature
such as unwelcome sexual advances, touching, requests for sexual favors,
etc.
- Any employee found in violation of this policy will be subject
to disciplinary action, up to and including discharge; any student found
in violation of this policy will be subject to disciplinary action up
to and including expulsion from the University.
