To all members of the University and Big Rapids community, we extend this invitation to participate in The Catalyst Project, a University- and community-wide reading project. The book chosen for the 2011-2012 academic year is The Warmth of Other Suns, by Isabel Wilkerson.

In addition to providing resources to use The Warmth of Other Suns in book clubs and discussion groups, The Catalyst Project will host film screenings, lectures, and panel discussions related to the book. We are also pleased to announce that The Catalyst Project will provide opportunities for members of the FSU and Big Rapids community to participate in events hosted by Grand Valley State University’s Community Reading Project, including a lecture by author Isabel Wilkerson.
