125th Celebration Week
Begins April 19!

The 125th Celebration will be highlighted in April with a series of special events, including a 125th Anniversary Community Briefing, special musical celebrations, the first-ever Presidential Symposium and the Ferris Birthday Party.

April 19:
125th Anniversary Community Briefing
Ferris State University President David L. Eisler invites community members to join him for a "125th Anniversary Briefing" on Ferris and for a discussion about moving forward the productive partnerships of the University and its friends in Big Rapids and Mecosta County. Monday, April 19, 7:00 p.m. in Cardinal Hall at the Big Rapids Middle School.

April 21:
Readers Theatre Production - "Vignettes Into the Life of Woodbridge N. Ferris," written by Emeritus Professor William Keller.
Join us for a reader's theatre production on Wednesday, April 21, at 1:30 p.m. in the Dome Room at the Rankin Center. Participants will be served a Victorian Tea with the play immediately following performed by students of Associate Professor Katherine LaPietra.

125th Anniversary Band and Orchestra Concert
FSU's West Central Concert Band (WCCB), West Central Chamber Orchestra (WCCO), and Symphony Band are having a combined 125th Anniversary Band and Orchestra Concert on April 21st at Williams Auditorium. Music starts at 8:00 p.m. Free Admission! Bring your family and friends. A special composition written by Associate Professor Harry Dempsey to honor the 125th anniversary of Ferris will be debuted, along with a multimedia presentation of moments in the Institution's history. There will be a reception immediately following.

April 22:
Presidential Symposium
Former Ferris State University Presidents will gather for a first-ever Presidential Symposium in Williams Auditorium from 2 to 4 p.m.

125th Birthday Celebration
A very special event will be held on April 22 at 6 p.m. at the Holiday Inn in Big Rapids. The 125th Birthday Celebration is the culmination of special events held throughout this past year! Join us for an evening of memorable entertainment, as well as the opportunity to greet our former Ferris Presidents. Be sure to bring your copy of the new coffee table book for autographs! April 23
The College of Allied Health Sciences invites you to a reception to celebrate both the 125th anniversary of Ferris State University and the 30th anniversary of the Victor F. Spathelf Center for Allied Health on April 23 from 1 to 3 p.m.

Parking is VERY LIMITED, due to construction of the new building for the Michigan College of Optometry, but don't let that stop you! Come see how things have changed since you were here!

April 24:
FSU Concert Choir and Jazz Band Concert
On Saturday Evening April 24 Williams Auditorium will Sing and Swing to the sounds of the FSU Concert Choir and Jazz Band along with returning Alumni From both organizations. Returning alums from the last ten years under choir director Dr. Cate Arroe will join current members on stage and give voice to selected repertoire in this, the final Music Center performance of the school year. The Ferris Jazz Band under the direction of Matt Moresi will also perform, and then the Alumni Jazz Dinosaurs under former director Harry Dempsey will take to the stage and play several selections by themselves. The concert stars at 8:00 pm and there is no admission charge. Be there or be square!
